Haiti Update
For the week of - April 18, 2010
A mission trip of St John’s parishioners is planned for May 13-17 to L’Acul to work at the Good Samaritian School and Health Clinic. More computers will be installed and training will be provided to teachers. At the same time, a clinic will take place with our nurses and doctor. Children with special needs will also be evaluated for therapy and educational needs. Damage from the recent earthquake will be assessed and repairs initiated. Tents will be delivered to provide temporary classrooms at the School of the Resurrection nearby.
Time is of the essence, please donate if you can. Look for the donation box in the dining room. The items being collected for this trip are:
- -Toothbrushes and toothpaste
- -Cold medicine (infant, child and adult)
- -Multivitamins (all age groups and pre-natal)
- -Pain relievers - acetaminophen, ibuprofen
- -Ziploc bags - all sizes
- -Hydrocortisone cream
- -School supplies - especially chalk!
