Beginning with a potluck lunch, Fr. Wheeler will talk about Holy Communion as a meal. Parents will be given educational materials to work with their children at home. The class will meet two more times for an instructed Eucharist and to make homemade bread. This leads up to the the Easter Vigil when children will celebrate their participation in Holy Communion. For more information, speak to Fr. Wheeler.

Children's Education

We believe that faith is a journey. We seek to help people wherever they are on their journey — young, old, new to the faith or very faithful. From loving care in the nursery to childhood years in Godly Play, on through Journey to Adulthood and in our adult years, Christian Education enables us to become lifelong Christians. Our goal is to lead parishioners to Biblical literacy, liturgical understanding and the knowledge of Christian living skills. Christian Education is a core value at St. John’s where parishioners and leaders believe that by focusing on our spirituality and challenging our minds we can become thoughtful, caring, lifelong Christians.
