St. John’s is proud to host the 2012 Annual Diocesan Missions Conference on Saturday, March 3 (snow date – March 10) to share tips, stories and ideas about fulfilling God’s call to us to be mission oriented churches. We are proud of our own mission focus both through the many social service agencies we support in the Stamford area and our partnership with The Good Samaritan School and Health Clinic in L’Acul, Haiti. Weekly Events

Thursday Morning Bible Study ~ 10:30 a.m. Exploration of, A Grief Observed, by C. S. Lewis

Led by Fr. Wheeler from January 12 - February 9

All are welcome to join us in the Conference Room from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. every Thursday. Many participants often stay for the 12:10 p.m. Holy Eucharist and brown bag lunch afterward. Come early for coffee and fellowship.

Thursday Evenings – St. John's Choir Practice – 7:30 p.m.

Choir Practice with our New Director of Music, Chris Shepard, runs every Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. New voices are welcome and encouraged to join! The requirement to sing in the choir is a desire to praise God with song and music and an ability to carry a tune and sing on pitch while singing in harmony. The ability to read music, while helpful, is not required. For more information, speak to Chris on Sunday, email cshepard@stjohns-stamford.org or call 230-348-2619 ext 18.
